May is National Photograph Month. Think of all the events in your life that are captured in photography. Both personal and world renown images. You probably have images that you find priceless. A loved one, that special vacation place or wedding photos. How would you feel if those images disappeared tomorrow? That shows how powerful are the emotions created by photographs.
I’m always touched by people who have suffered a loss of their images in a fire, flood or other disaster. Many times the first thing out of their mouths is, “We survived”, followed by, “We lost our photos”. Not clothing, TV or favorite chair, but the one think that often can’t be replaced – a photo.
So take this month to organize your photos so future generations will have them to enjoy. Of course if you have a favorite photographer, give them a hug…or take them to lunch!
